Form: Cornish Sonnet 3
One gravestone among many stands alone
A name carved with love now faded by time
Reaching out to me from beyond the stone
I wait in silence, without any fear
Too late for mourning at the Samhain chime
I welcome you to my world, old one dear
Dearest ancestor take your place with me
Please share your soul and I will share my wine
For the veil is thin and spirits roam free
As I ask you to teach me ancient ways
On this most sacred day we call Samhain
And we rejoice again this holiest of days
One gravestone among many stands alone
And we rejoice again this holiest of days
