Scent of Summer

Scent of Summer
Form: Lunatic Sonnet

The scent of summer lingers in the air,
sweet jasmine, honeysuckle ev'rywhere,
I close my eyes to see her standing there,
sweet memories recall the taste of wine.
My endless dreams that seem to be divine
can never replace this woman I know as mine
she turns her head, her beauty smiles at me
and in her gaze my love is surely free.
Her silky blouse that ripples like the sea,
cannot conceal the peaks of her desire,
between our eyes, beguiled by passion's fire,
it's love, our precious love, that we require.
I feel no shame or guilt as I behold
the woman who induced my love be bold
