Dancing with my Muse
Form: Spanish Sonnet
To fall in love is simply letting go
Permit the heart to reach the brighter skies
No longer asking for where's, how's and why's
And close the doors on darker things we know
It's not simple to let these feelings flow
To walk away from those historic sighs
And follow the new way destiny flies
Accepting truth of love must be on show.
The gazing eyes that ignite as they meet
That love demands, there can be no denial
As footsteps falter to the rhythmic beat
Yet eyes can gaze for hours upon a smile
As shrouds of hurt slip silent in defeat
This art of loving once again worthwhile.
