The Balletomane
Form: Sonnetina Tre
The swirls of pink that pirouette in dance
To catch blue-eyes who waits in cushioned seat
With bated breath grasped by silenced heart beat
For dancer's arabesque to speak romance.
Beyond the stage, blue-eyes is sitting back
Battement of love that waits the curtain fall
And music's coda fades to dancer's call
Then lovers disappear in carbon black.
O ballerina, beauty to behold
But it is her love that makes blue-eyes bold
