Solstice Song

Form: Long Measure

The longest day and shortest night
When stars bow low in velvet sky
They seem so near that we touch light
To pick them off from heavens high

In the joy that the summers bring
We hear the guitar softly strum
To call our voices so to sing
To the rhythm of Solstice drum
