Form: French sonnet
I drowned my sorrows in glasses of wine
The sweet liqueur to ease my mind from pain
In the drunken numbness release the strain
As gently the world fades, no longer mine
And sleep comes easy to touch the divine
The bliss of dreaming in another plain
Then waking up to face it all again
The hangover cloud in a new design
Reality shaking body and soul
And my heart breaks never more to be whole
This darkness of mine can never leave me
For love remains across all times that pass
I can get better at it now I see
My answers are not hidden in a glass
