Form: Cyhydedd Fer Sonnet
The test of love's intent reveals
that truth is seen by blessed eels.
And from the depths of Welsh legend,
false hearts can no longer pretend.
A story of love is found when
exploring the past of Llandwyn.
For Dwynwen gave her pure heart
to one who tore her soul apart.
Praying her heart would soon forget
a potion to avenge pain's debt.
Yet she forgave her heart's desire
and her spirit found sacred fire.
The words from a saintly princess
Nothing wins hearts like cheerfulness
