In different shoes
My brother’ trainers
Don’t fit
They flip-flapped about
But I walked the mile
In different shoes
My sister’s high heels
Wobble
Each step straining legs
With swollen ankles
In different shoes
Kitten heels and flats
Too small
Pushed shopping baskets
Like old ladies do
In different shoes
New pair of trainers
Perfect fit
Making my own path
In my own shoes
