Form: Cornish Sonnet
My heart is rolling on a piece of string,
First in then out and back as love commands,
And giddy senses can't feel anything
This rollercoaster ride of ups and downs
The highs and lows all in another's hands
Antiquated romancers naught but clowns.
But when the string snaps my heart will be lost
Unable to stop 'til it breaks on ground
The point of no return finally crossed
And soothing words will fall on silent tears
A heart without love remains to be found
Emotional walls built with the new fears.
My heart is rolling on a piece of string,
But when the string breaks my heart will be lost
