Honour in Love

Form: Huitain

What is the difference between
A man and woman, you and me
Is it all a matter of genes
But there is so much more to see
Genetics don’t set honour free
And honour makes a gentleman
Or a lady of you and me
And fate dictates this love’s game plan

Being a man is no disgrace
It is my honour to love you
My lady of such fairest face
Beside you I am always true
Although love may vary its hue
No matter what it’s always there
For it binds us, the me and you
As all things, good and bad, we share
