Form: Beymorlin Sonnet
A cool kiss of winter a touch of ice
The lake sparkles with a silvery hue
We’re taking the fresh snow like wedding rice
The yuletide night is coming into view
The hills and valleys dressed in winter white
With thrills of love while I’m holding your hand
Let’s walk some more towards our own delight
Let’s talk some more of the future we’ve planned
This year ends beneath the shroud of evergreen
The draping branches so heavy with snow
My dear, our shelter is the love we’ve seen
Escaping the coldest winds that may blow
As birds fly into the overcast sky
May words touch your heart with a gentle sigh
