Form: Australian Sonnet
My sacred lady of the lunar night
The starlit goddess bearing hunter’s bow
Her silver beams that share their midnight light
The light that chases through town and meadow
Awaken when the world is deep in sleep
And twilight nymphs come out to play and dance
Huntress through the darkness gently creep
With arrows swifter than a quickened glance
The resting Earth that lies within your shade
Is where I stand to greet your purest smile
And pray you grant me strength to face the trial
As through the glades of mortal life I wade
Pray shed your light upon the darkest scene
Diana, gracious goddess huntress queen
