With no words to share he has only tears
In the endless silence, he hears his fears
As the thoughts of confusion speak out loud
And his foolish heart is lost in the crowd
For pain and anguish cannot make him proud
These things need sharing before it’s too late
Instead, coldness walks through the garden gate
Without the answers how long should he wait
And should he wait at all if all is lost
On this night he alone must bear the cost
His wrecked body etched in the endless pain
His eyes seek his need across the empty floors
All he sees is the stillness of closed doors
For waiting for love is always in vain
