Romantic heart that graced paper and ink
Inspiring poets far beyond your time
With words that danced across the years between
And on the page your dreams of love are seen
By lovers seeking the sense in a rhyme
And as I write my dreams begin to think
Of Byron, Shelley, and Mr. John Keats
As in their words I feel my own heart’s beats
And in their footsteps, I yearn to walk
To write the words that touch another’s soul
But did their poems reach a lover’s heart
Or did they write of love because it’s art
Can words of love make another heart whole
Or is poetry simply just small talk?
